In 2015, I started a blog to explore my growing passion for understanding the connection between food and health. Three years later I did a trial week going vegan (read My Vegan Story) and I've never looked back. As I explored creating healthy plantbased recipes in South Africa, I often struggled to find certain ingredients. Now you may not know your quinoa from your cauliflower or your cocoa from your cacao, and that’s ok! Wherever possible, I use these exotic-sounding foods to combine my original healthy cooking style in my plantbased recipes. But what if people can’t find the products I use, or what if they’re too expensive? From there, the idea for an online shop was born.

Chia seeds look unassuming, but they are the stuff of actual legend. Ancient tribes like the Aztecs and Mayans used these little guys to sustain themselves during lengthy expeditions that required enormous amounts of stamina, such as battles and hunting trips.
Kwin-oh-a? Keen-yah? Ken Lee? Who knew one little grain could cause so much awkwardness. Imagine the number of times people have stuttered and mumbled trying to order the damn roast veg and quinoa salad at their local lunch spot.
